Psychotherapy
Choosing therapy is a courageous investment in yourself. It isn’t about being told what to do, or getting a quick fix. It is a supportive, team effort where we work together to help you process your experiences, regulate your emotions and nervous system, update the subconscious, address negative core beliefs, and develop a grounded sense of who you truly are, and who you want to be.
What to Expect
Your Free 15-Minute Consultation
This initial 15-minute consultation is a no obligation opportunity to see how it feels to work together and find out if we are a good fit. We can approach our time in one of two ways:
Structured Consultation
We can use this time to guide you through a few brief background questions, and then discuss what brings you to therapy, your challenges and your goals. You can also ask any questions about working together and therapy.
An Open Introduction
If you prefer, you can use the time entirely as you wish to share what is on your mind, identify your current challenges, or ask any questions abut my practice and how we might work together.
There is no pressure to share deep details straight away, and building trust can take time. You do not need to make a decision during our meeting, you are also welcome to take your time, and simply get back to me if you would like to proceed.
Your First Session
Our first session is where we begin exploring what brings you to therapy, set your goals, and start working at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If we had an initial consultation, will will revisit and confirm the challenges and goals, and decide what is priority at this time.
Immediate Support and Grounding
I might also introduce a few initial tools, resources or coping strategies that support you in the session, and these can be practiced in between sessions to support you further
How we work together
A Safe, Confidential Space: We create a quiet, confidential environment where we can safely explore deeper, complex experiences and hidden patterns from the comfort of your own private space.
Consistency, Containment and Depth: Lasting brain, body and emotional change needs reliable, consistent, and predictable support. Weekly sessions create a safe, steady rhythm, and repetition needed for brain re-wiring and nervous system regulation, allowing us to do the deep, lasting work together.
Beyond Basic Talk Therapy: In our online sessions, we don’t just talk things through. We work holistically with the mind and body, actively processing experiences and emotions, and creating space to practice new helpful responses.
